Amethyst Beaded Red Leather Collar

This beautiful beaded amethyst collar looks more like a piece of jewelry than it does a collar. We have seen many dog collars over the years, but this product line is by far at the top of the favorites list. (It’s also what we now use on our own dogs!)

Before we get to the most obvious part—the intricate beading—let’s first look at what makes this a durable collar that isn’t just pretty on the eyes. A tremendous amount of detail went into this handcrafted, genuine leather collar, right down to the beautiful brass and zinc alloy-based hardware. The hardware is not only durable and rust-resistant, but free of nickel and lead. It’s all coated (right down to the rivets) in a gorgeous antique gold patina. Underneath each d-ring is an extra strip of leather to help protect your dog’s neck from any harsh rubbing. The collar’s long-lasting materials extend well beyond the hardware to the lovely red leather. While you’ll notice the thick, quality leather is a little stiff at first, it does loosen up after a few times being worn—just like a pair of fine Italian shoes.

And now for the fun part—the amethyst beading! The collar features a strip of embroidered varying translucent and opalescent beads, intermixed with lovely amethyst beads. The attention to detail really stands out here! It also helps that the amethyst compliments the red leather so well.
